The setup is random: you play with blue circles, the AI uses orange squares, and gray triangles are neutral.

On your turn, select one of your pieces and click on an opponent’s or neutral piece to capture it.
Your pieces move like queens in chess: they capture the first piece they encounter in a straight line, including diagonals.

If you capture a gray triangle, you gain 1 point and immediately take another turn. Take advantage of this opportunity—it’s reserved for humans!

At any time, your score is equal to the number of empty squares adjacent to at least one of your pieces.

When no more moves are possible, the level ends. If you have more points than the AI, you advance to the next level. Try to reach and beat level 5. Good luck!

This is another game drawn from my vast collection of small pen-and-paper game ideas.

In the original paper version, two players would take turns drawing queens at the start, and then, still alternating turns, each would attack another one—without moving, simply by erasing it.

For the AI version, I first thought of adding neutral pieces, but it felt a bit dull. The idea that made it work better was turning it into a very short campaign-style game: now there are five levels, and with each level both the enemies and the neutral pieces increase. And when you capture a neutral piece, you gain an extra point and immediately take another turn. This lets you set up ambushes or seek refuge, and now I find myself really enjoying replaying it!
